THE GOVERNING BOARD OF SULHAMSTEAD & UFTON NERVET PRIMARY SCHOOL
Sulhamstead and Ufton Nervet Primary School is overseen by a governing board made up of parents, staff, and representatives from the diocese and local area. Each governor is appointed for a term of four years, and serves in the full governing board. There is also a Finance Committee, with specific oversight over the school's budget and finances. .
Our governing board has three core functions, as laid out in the Governance Handbook:
- to offer clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- to hold school leaders to account for the educational performance of the organisation and its pupils, and the performance management of staff; and
- to oversee the financial performance of the organisation and make sure its money is well spent.
The full governing board and Finance Committee meet formally around once a month, and work closely with the school throughout the year. Other smaller working parties are created as and when they are needed.
